In some areas, Katz is nuttier than a fruitcake. For example, he slimes his former employer, Washington of St. Louis, as a university that only gets students and faculty who couldn't be admitted to or hired by more prestigious eastern universities. Not only is he insulting himself, but it just ain't so, Joe. Washington of St. Louis ranks number 12 in the country (U.S. News rankings), which is not too shabby. And it ranks higher than Brown and Cornell (his current employer), in The Ivy League, and Johns Hopkins, all of which most folks consider fairly prestigious schools whose faculty and student body are pretty elite.

Oh, well, at least he praises Penn, which shows a streak of sanity. <G>

However, I suspect he's pretty competent in areas where he actually knows something.
