It's gonna come down to a choice of CUTTING farm subsidies, social security, medicare, medicaid, education, etc., etc., or RAISING taxes. I think when it comes down to seeing how many VOTERS are going to be affected by those two alternatives you're gonna see HIGHER taxes. That's NOT saying that we don't also need MAJOR cuts in spending too. We could EASILY cut 33% of our military budget and STILL be spending more than the next 50 countries COMBINED.... The U.S. needs to WAKEUP and stop allowing every small district congressman to fund every two bit project in his home district. DESPITE the Pentagon saying they DON'T want it, the Leader of the Senate has pushed for funding for TWO ENGINES for a fighter jet. He's doing that because one of those engines will be built in his home state. That's CRAP.....
