Either way, he was the father of democracy and wisdom and without moral taint. You must know that same sex love was considered very moral in those times! Anybody who takes any Greek name as a pseudonym runs the chance that the name once belonged to someone with quite different standards of love! That doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, perhaps you need to seek help!! :-)
