Bob and Sam,

I don't know if the analyst did a good job and the reporter screwed up or not.

But the article's focus was technical measures. i.e. Outcomes.
Not a single word about causes or drivers was included. I.e. - What is contributing to the growth? And what is likely to happen during the next 1-5 years?

e.g. LED usage: From almost none to almost universal during the period for both monitors and TVs. From almost none to an unknown depending upon pricing for a variety of commercial to residential lighting.

Win7 PCs: Currently being adopted by consumers and imminent for Enterprises. If I'm typical, this will drive DRAM sky high. My prior PC had 0.5GB of DDR2 SDRAM. This one has 8GB of DDR3; My graphic card has 1GB of GDDR5 SDRAM. And I paid less than $1K for everything associated with the new PC compared to over $3K for its vastly inferiour predecessor.

Innovation is rampant across many corporate and consumer sectors. While I personally couldn't see IPads selling, the numbers are quickly proving me wrong.

Will the bears be right. Absolutely. As Scott Kulicke keeps reminding us every conference call. Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

FWIW.
