Fortunately, the people who work for the SEC are way too intelligent to be fooled by a bunch of short sellers who have been caught in so many lies that we can't even count them. Meanwhile, the company being slandered has continued to conduct itself properly, and is forced to continually turn the other cheek. A halt is wishful thinking on the part of the shorters. No short position. Then it was 100k. Now it's 98k. Yeah, whatever.
