Pretty much sums up current situation from a hedge fund manager who just dusted off his keyboard...the link has more

Imagine a scenario where you have a sprinter in a 100-meter long swimming pool that is empty. He runs the length of the pool in 10 seconds flat. Now imagine there's a rickety dam holding back water at the top of the pool. The dam is shaky, and more and more water is being poured into it, increasing the pressure. If the dam bursts it will flood the pool. Now let's say you are forced to wager on how long it will take the sprinter to run the 100 meters again. If the pool stays dry, it'll be 10 seconds. If some water flows into the pool, it might be 20 or 30 seconds. If enough water pours in, the sprinter will drown.
