That is a wonderful piece of news. That 880 (highway) corridor now can officially be designated as the "Green corridor" because just half a mile away from NUMMI, there is a solar panel plant scheduled to open, Solyndra. This new plant received 850M of stimulus money. Just called my City Council member to share with her this piece of news. She told me that the mayor called her and told her about it just an hour ago and that she was on her way to Palo Alto to attend the press conference with Schwarzy and the Toyota and Tesla folks. Wonderful piece of news to see the reopening of NUMMI. On April first Nummi laid off 4300 employees. Now a significant number will be rehired I hope. Obama: yes we can
