BTW, to make an inconsistency of my last note on Russia, I am also currently buying a one third position of The Turkey Fund. Turkey is not as cheap as Russia and doesn't have as much potential, so I don't want a half position yet.

You're invited to "guardrail" your portfolio and keep churning out gains in this hyper-volatile market... beginning with an easier-than-you-think strategy that's causing a quiet revolution among your fellow Fools -- and even has Barron's pitching us woo!

Over the next few days, 1,656
Fools will join this quiet revolution
and feel a jolt of confidence...
Will you be one of them?
Saturday, May 22, 2010

Dear DAVID ,

Imagine if the headlines you've seen recently...

"U.S. stock drop could have been twice as bad."
-- Reuters, May 11, 2010

"The Trouble With Stock-Market Volatility... History tells us that unstable markets often present investors with higher-than-normal risks."
-- Barron's, May 10, 2010

"Take cover in a volatile stock market."
-- MarketWatch, May 12, 2010

...more than anything, just made you SMILE.

My name is Jeff Fischer. And I'd like to introduce you to a group of Fools that are doing just that. Because they now recognize and act on opportunities in the same spots they used to view with fear and uncertainty...

You see, what our group discovered over the last 9 months changed a lot of peoples' minds about what's possible for individual investors. (And it's causing a groundswell here at The Motley Fool... you'll hear first-hand accounts in a second.)

For example, did you know:

You can PROFIT AGAIN AND AGAIN from a sideways-moving stock...
You can FORGET THE S&P and make money when the market is up, flat, or sliding...
You can even BUY YOUR STOCKS CHEAPER and sell them for higher prices!
And it all begins with employing an easier-than-you-think options strategy alongside your portfolio...

Options allow you to GUARDRAIL YOUR PORTFOLIO with zero out-of-pocket costs...
Options can be so safe even retirees depend on them for REGULAR AND PREDICTABLE STREAMS OF CASH...
It's true. In fact, our group sold Western Union and Moody's options recently -- and realized 100% CASH INCOME in just a couple of months...

We also sold options on Interactive Data and Perfect World -- and netted 100% and 88% returns in a few months!

Here's the important part in all this for you: in the time it takes you to read this email, you're going to discover step-by-step how you can make gains like these -- with a minimum of risk, and all the resources of The Motley Fool behind you...

Then I'd like to extend a RARE INVITATION to you. In fact, it could be the only one you see in 2010.

That's why I urge you to read on and make an informed decision -- a decision a number of Fools just like you recently made...

"Building family wealth..."
"I want to say thank you for what you do... I can't begin to tell you what this means for me and my family!"
-- R. Stone, Little Rock, AR

"Great results..."
"I'm here and excited! I've followed your option instruction and recommendations... and have been exceedingly pleased with the results! Thanks for your great work!"
-- M.M., Stillwater, OK

"Excited and impressed..."
"I'm excited by the quality of this service so far, and impressed with the volume of educational material the Fool team has put together!"
-- R. Shepherd, Bellingham, WA

These are just a few of the first-hand accounts I mentioned a second ago. I've received literally hundreds of messages like these... and you'll see a handful of others a little further down.

But first, if you're anything like me -- a skeptical consumer and investor -- you might be wondering: Is this really different? Is it really better?

Here are the 3 things I think prove this is different and better than any wealth building approach you've seen before...

We've figured out a way to take the world's most powerful financial tools and techniques (options) and make them simple-to-use, and available to individuals like you...
Since 2005, my public options recommendations have made money more than 93% of the time (that's 62 profitably closed trades out of my last 67.) Which is a staggering rate of success, if you'll permit me to blow my own horn just this once...
A special edge... I get to work alongside a network of independent geniuses. Every day, I have access to The Motley Fool's very best analysts and advisors. I can put my hands on their best ideas, and draw from the entire Fool universe of research...
You see, I'm able to recommend options trades to investors like you on Motley Fool newsletter recommendations.

Let me introduce you to what some are calling The Fool's "quiet revolution" -- Motley Fool Options!

You could say our group occupies a very profitable niche right alongside our Motley Fool newsletter services. Let me show you what I mean...

Take David Gardner and the Rule Breakers team for example. Back in March of 2009, they recommended Green Mountain Coffee Roasters to members at $26 per share.

They were impressed with how the company was growing at the expense of a faltering Starbucks, and in their newsletter, they projected, "Brewer sales are growing even faster than K-Cup purchases, and these new customers will be a major catalyst for short-term upside."

Turns out they were right and Green Mountain
was poised for a surge...

The stock went up 137% in just five months. A great stock pick for a traditional long investment, no question.

But imagine this for a moment: if you snapped up the call options along the way -- those $5 calls would be worth $41 five months later.

If you'd put $1,000 into the calls, they'd be worth $8,200 -- more than 8 times your money.

And that's really just the beginning of the story here. The second Rule Breaker pick the same month as Green Mountain was a company called MercadoLibre. It's sort of like the eBay of Latin America...

Here's how our special edge (remember, we're talking about all the research and the entire network of The Motley Fool here) could've netted 533% gains forMotley Fool Options members...

MercadoLibre was poised for a run-up... its sky-high stock had just returned to earth... and the market was blind to
its short-term prospects...

In five months, the stock rocketed from $14 to $31... up 117%. But the call options, at a cost of about $3 per share at the time, did a lot better. They shot up to $19 per share -- enough to turn $10,000 into more than $60,000 in a few months...

And the best part is: It doesn't matter if you have experience with options or not. You can begin trading options right away alongside your portfolio withMotley Fool Options...

You see, we'll provide plenty of "hand-holding" for those who want it...

We'll show you exactly how to get started. How to place a trade. You'll know exactly what your maximum risk and potential rewards are with each trade you make.

Nobody is going to make options clearer, easier, more logical, and more lucrative for you. And as a Motley Fool Options member, you'll have access to me, and my team, at any point...

You'll get everything you need. Including the tools to make a string of profits when stocks go up (as you've just seen), when they stay flat, AND when they go down. Let's take a look at another example:

Stock Advisor sold LCA-Vision on November 8, 2007, citing very weak prospects for the business and its stock...

By July 2008, the stock had plummeted 70%. Imagine making a gains if you bought simple put options on the stock -- just about tripling your money while also hedging and balancing your portfolio.

You see, we're on a mission to empower fellow Fools with the tools to achieve their financial dreams...

"Thanks..."
"I would never ever would have thought about using options in my years of investing if it wasn't for Jeff and Jim. Thanks guys!"
-- S.S., Melrose Park, IL

"I'm thrilled..."
"I'm thrilled The Motley Fool added this service -- Jeff and Jim make for a powerful and exciting options team."
-- Geoffrey W., Pittsburgh, PA

"Add to my education and wealth building..."
"I've been able to add options to my toolbox. I have seen the potential options can add to your portfolio and know this service will add to my education and wealth building."
-- D. Heredia, Keller, TX

But I should make an important point. Even though you don't need prior options experience to join Motley Fool Options -- there is still plenty in this service for those with options experience. Especially if you're somewhat new to The Motley Fool and you're looking for a way to tap into our most compelling newsletter recommendations at any given moment...

And your timing couldn't be better. You see, we're focusing hard on what strategies will succeed in the coming weeks and months. You could say we're leaning into this one...

Motley Fool Options has a plan for a market that's just endured an epic rally... and is starting to buck and strain and show us moments of unbridled volatility!

Look for covered strangles during the second half of 2010, where the income potential is even stronger on stocks you own. And with significant downside protection too. Because you want every strategy available to you to make money, whether the market is flat, down or up. With strangles, you can make money in all three scenarios. And that's the tip of the iceberg...

Look for our first synthetic short soon, profiting on a decline with no out-of-pocket costs. And look for simple put purchases to hedge and go short with little capital at risk.

We'll tap the best ideas from The Motley Fool's top analysts and advisors. We'll scour the financial landscape for specific moneymakers like these:

You could make double-digit gains in just a few months using simple call options on large, stable stocks like Johnson & Johnson and Intel -- and doing so while your risk is actually lower than owning the stock itself. Plus, your option goes all the way to 2012, so the gains could keep coming...
Set up a safe trade that will earn you an 85% return on your investment in just ten months if the stock gains... get this, just 4% the coming year. And the stock is no less than the McDonald's of China, owner of the most quick serve restaurants in China, and growing earnings by double-digits each year...
Imagine scooping up a stock and instantly having 4%, 6% or greater downside protection, while still having ample upside opportunity. Motley Fool Options does this all the time...
One thing I should mention though. These trades are not subject to a monthly publication schedule. Instead they could come at any time -- every other day, or once a week. So even though Motley Fool Options doesn't require trading experience, it does require a dedication to making more money in shorter periods of time...

As I mentioned, Motley Fool Options gives you access to the best opportunities The Motley Fool has to offer.

Here's the bottom line in all this: Motley Fool Options is a totally new approach for us. Unlimited. Unrestricted. Faster moving. A wide-open toolbox to hammer away at the best, and most timely, opportunities The Motley Fool has to offer.

Motley Fool Options is designed to make you a better, more sophisticated investor...

Consider how great it would feel to look at the market with a cool eye during an event like the "flash crash" a few weeks ago... And know you're positioned to profit from the same scenario that 99% of investors are watching with bone chilling fear and uncertainty.

Or consider how, at one point or another, investors are selling when they should be buying. Or buying when a stock has already climbed beyond a fair valuation (after a historic rally, for example)...

But not you. Not this time. Because you have a resource that guides you when to add to your winners... when to sell to take your profits... which new investments are best at any given time.

Motley Fool Options will give you a window into many of The Fool's best stock picks at any given moment... as well as those in
danger of a sharp decline.
And you can use this incredibly valuable information even if you don't think of yourself as a "trader." Just by making one simple transaction every week or so, you'll become a better investor, and improve, protect, and enhance your stock portfolio and build real wealth...

Just imagine not worrying about the market for the first time. Not sweating if stocks drop suddenly. In fact, a sudden drop signals an opportunity! One that you'll enjoy because of the lucrative and simple Motley Fool Options strategies at your disposal...

Imagine making money in all kinds of markets... sensibly and strategically. And still enjoying long-term returns for your stocks and actually reducing your risk!

Remember a few minutes ago when I mentioned this is a RARE INVITATION?

Here's the deal: We launched Motley Fool Options in 2009. And what a year it was. The response was overwhelming. Frankly, there are now more people who have interest in joining than there are spots in the service...

But rest assured. If you're reading this, your place is reserved. However, let me make it clear there are two limits on your invitation. And both are BIG advantages to you:

The total enrollment in Motley Fool Options continues to be closely monitored (you'll discover why in a second).
That's why I need to point out this special invitation expires at 11:59 PM Tuesday, May 25.
And unfortunately, we can't make any exceptions. You see, it's necessary we limit the number of memberships to Motley Fool Options. Why is that?

It's because we're committed to maximizing the profit potential and experience for Motley Fool Options members. An experience that could begin for you like this...

It's one of Warren Buffett's largest holdings. And Inside Value had the good sense to buy near multiyear lows. Imagine scooping up the call options when the stock was at $16.17...

How to pocket a bundle on a conservative
blue-chip stock like American Express

While the stock almost doubled in six months... the October call options that you could've bought for a few dollars in February are now worth more than $15 each -- up 650%, or more than sevenfold.

Who would've thought you could make that much money on a sleepy old blue chip? Well, you just had to know how to value the company (which the Inside Value team does) and, even better, how to supercharge your gains with Motley Fool Options...

Here's something that's important: Motley Fool Options members can expect more frequent and timely communication from us...

Dedicated Motley Fool Options online forum staffed by some of the smartest options investors around

A little more about Motley Fool Options
advisor, Jeff Fischer...
Jeff Fischer, advisor of Motley Fool Options, started his work with The Fool back in 1996. Jeff co-managed the original Fool Portfolio (with Tom and David Gardner) and the Rule Breaker Portfolio, and he co-founded and managed the Fool's Drip Portfolio.

Jeff also wrote Investing Without a Silver Spoon and served as editor of several other Motley Fool best-sellers. In 2004, Jeff co-founded an independent newsletter, Complete Growth Investor, where he managed a portfolio of stocks, options, and hedges until 2008, when he returned to The Motley Fool.

In fact, Jeff is the REASON The Motley Fool is offering an options service. You may remember, for a long time The Fool warned about the dangers of leverage and expiration dates in the hands of individual investors. But Jeff is a remarkable teacher. And a uniquely talented investor...

Motley Fool Co-founder Tom Gardner was impressed with how Jeff deployed options against the wildly volatile price moves in the stock market during the last decade. And how he "guardrailed" his portfolio... smoothed out his returns... and generated substantial short-term profits.

And now, we're extremely proud to offer you these same capabilities, and more, in today's market. So if you're interested in making money in an up, down, or sideways-moving market, I urge you to read on...
