[CDSL and going through the CO switch]

here in seattle we're getting to the point where dial-tone is a scarce commodity. if telcos deploy CDSL-like technology, they'll only make matters worse by facilitating people to tie up circuits for extended periods. one of the great things about ADSL is it gets the data connections off the switch. regarding 56kbps modem emulation, would ROK license USRX's x2 technology or would they only support their own K56flex?

CDSL looks penny-wise, pound-foolish to me.
