Holder and Napolitano give standing ovation to Calderon's Criticism of US

Democrats Give Standing Ovation to U.S Criticism
May 21, 9:55 AMLouisville Economic Policy Examiner by Rob Binsrick

Yesterday morning Mexican President Felipe Calderon addressed a joint session of the U.S. Congress. During part of his speech he stated that he strongly disagreed with the recently-passed anti-illegal immigration law in the state of Arizona. For that swipe at a U.S. state’s decision to take a stand against illegal immigration, the Democrats in attendance gave Calderon a standing ovation, as shown in the video below.

Take note that at about the 20-second mark of the clip, there is a woman wearing a turquoise-colored top standing up. That person is former Arizona governor Janet Napolitano, who is of course now the Secretary of Homeland Security. She recently admitted that she had not actually read the Arizona law but stated that it was not a law that she would have signed as governor.

The slow-moving person two seats to Napolitano’s right is Attorney General Eric Holder. He recently also admitted that he had not read the Arizona bill.

So how is it that the two members of the Obama Administration can have the gall (or as their boss would put it, the ‘audacity’) to stand up and applaud Calderon’s denouncement of the Arizona anti-illegal immigration law when both of them have previously admitted that they have not read it? What a disgrace.
