Ed: my knowledge of the PC market in India is rather limited, however I do know that COMPAQ is one of the largest (if not THE largest) selling brand in India but the market there is not well developed as in the West.As you may know India is in its embronic stage of development so I assume Compaq is positioning itself to be a major player in the market as they want to be there when the market blooms into a larger market to take full advantage of it.Perhaps someone else know more about it and they may choose to elaborate further on this here.
