skeeter,

Until this country dismantles the Federal Reserve and fractional reserve banking the American people are screwed.

As long as the financial elite and government can use the power of the printing press and fractional reserves to maximize their profits, socialize the risks of private banking activities, monetize the promises of politicians that put their careers ahead of the country, finance wars that the general public would not support with tax dollars etc... a handful of people will get richer and richer and the rest of us will either get poorer, killed in wars we shouldn't be involved in, or be forced to invest in an adversarial way to protect ourselves from our enemies in Washington and on Wall St.

It really is that simple

But much of the population is not blessed with enough intelligence to understand this, millions have been miseducated by our institutions, and the rest are too busy with life.

It's a borderline hopeless situation that makes me think democracy is already a demonstrable failure (most just don't know it yet).
