I'm not convinced it is the best place to forge the leaders we want in the military.

The ROTC grads are the Flags running the DOD. Not the ring knockers.

The University I went to was a land grant college and was therefore required to have ROTC and all male students were enrolled for two years whether they liked it or not. That was a long time ago. I don't know whether it's still true.
