This is an update of the SOX comparison parameters since the beginning of the year, 1/1/10 until Friday's close. This time the table is sorted by Nxt Yr PE using this past Friday's close.

This sort shows all PEs fall in a relative narrow range from 6 to 15, but one stock, CREE, jumps to a PE of 32 residing in last place. CREE has been in a correction mode this past month as shown by the chart. During May the stock has traded as high as 79.14, as low as 59.86, and closed Friday at 66.69. With the SOX being a price weighted index, CREE is the biggest contributor to the index and therefore has a lot of influence. No one knows what CREE will do going forward, but with its relatively high PE, both Curr Yr and Nxt Yr, it may have more price correction to the downside ahead.
