<<what trade?>>

You can't be serious. All the big Chinese stocks trade in US exchanges. There are short positions in all of them. China Mobile, for example, has shorts worth over $100 million. It trades millions of shares in the NYSE every day. There are Chinese ETFs that trade very actively in US markets and have a boatload of options. Put options on FXI just for the month of June, for instance, have a notional value of around $2 billion.

Interestingly, the Chinese leadership started tightening credit right around the time Chanos started talking, playing right into his hands.
