Unfortunately, The United States Federal Government often behaves as if it's a fully owned subsidiary of Corporate America...sad but true...And companies like BP and Halliburton have not had proper oversight and regulation for many, many years...the tragic BP Gulf oil spill is the blowback for too much de-regulation and ruthless cost-cutting that often goes on inside of companies like BP.
