An excellent post. I have always liked the Financial Times. while true, that the young have a difficult climb on a fast track, India has been blessed to have very educated and knowledgeable leaders at the helm. People like Manmohan Singh the past President who is a recognized scientist and several others. What struck me about the future leaders-in-waiting is that they have good political connections/backgrounds. I would instead like to see someone like Lal Bahadur Shastri who rose from the ranks. Or better still a commoner like Obama elected purely on the power of the common folks and not because of what his immediate ancestors did. After all is said and done, I feel good about India and also about W for having pursued a economic policy to share in the prosperity and wealth worldwide.
