It was just reported BP has defied the EPA to use safer dispersants.

Exactly koan. I have not bothered to respond to your earlier posts to me over the past day. That is because of what you correctly state which is "It was just reported....."

To elaborate, a few days ago CNN, in a TV clip reported that barrels of codexine were sitting on the dockside. The reporter's message was "what are they doing on the dockside when these should be sprayed." They even flashed the CEO of the chemical company who said his company was capable of meeting demand (Yeah right, make the most and make money). And then a day or two later, we were told that BP and EPA were in talks and that the EPA does not want then to use that chemical.

So it is all sensational journalism. This is a crisis and it is the responsibility of all, NYT LAT et al to act responsibly by imposing censorship on themselves and not rushing to report stuff without researching the facts. These two were reputable publications in my mind. I think the WSJ still maintains its place as a publication that verifies all the facts before reporting it.

"I pay taxes and expect my government to take care of this."

You expect too much. Try prayer...maybe Dog will take care of it. Government can't do everything. The government has no drilling rig crews on the payroll.
