Defense Secretary Liam Fox is quoted in Saturday's edition of The Times newspaper he "would like the forces to come back as soon as possible," and wants to see if it is possible to speed the training of Afghan troops. Training the locals is one of the many solutions. another one that comes to mind is for the Afghan Govt. to seek the services of mercenary groups like Blackwater. They should be under the command and control of the Afghan Govt. and not the US as was done for Iraq. And off course, we have the drones to replace the boots on the ground.
