Well lets hope, anyway, that RP can get more support. I worry about his age. I would never consider voting but if I did I would definitely vote for him. Don't know much about his son but I like what I saw on TV yesterday. He didn't let the critics get anywhere in their attacks on him.

In case you have not noticed, this nation spends about $1 trillion a year on so-called "defense" -- more than the rest of the world combined. And civil liberties have been under heavy attack since this so-called war on terror began. Maintaining a global empire is incompatible with either fiscal restraint or the liberty of citizens. Too many so called fiscal hawks want to slash the social safety net for US citizens while leaving the "defense" budget essentially untouched.
