I'm afraid you've missed my point Ten. I'm not against any type of response to criminal conduct that is effective in reconciling our society, that is humane, and resolute with regards to any particular violation.

You don't need to waste bandwidth trying to prove that there would be more crime if these jails were emptied. I'm against releasing even one criminal who has not demonstrated his readiness to reenter society on good terms.

The only point I wish to make is ... 'its not working.'

Continuing to pour money and resources into something that is not working while society continues to deteriorate should be ringing alarm bells all over the place. It's not, all I hear is a call for more and tougher law enforcement. You've tried talking in a normal tone to the deaf person, now you are screaming ... same results, only you and the deaf person are losing confidence. We have not created a society where people are less prone to criminal activity and more prone to working things out in a harmonious manner, quite the contrary.
