Well, except that in Katrina, the Bush administration had tertiary responsibility, behind the city and state governments, who REALLY screwed things up.

I'm not sure what Obama might have done differently in this instance, as I think BP is doing everything humanly possible to solve the problem.

But it is pretty unseemly to have the people in charge at the government whining like children. It is highly reminiscent of Ray Nagin's carrying-on during Katrina, which clearly showed him to be in way over his head.
