Tonic water has quinine, a little tonic water before bed can head leg cramps off. But the most bizarre thing works for me. You unwrap a bar of soap and put it under the sheet near the foot of the bed. It works. I don't care how, it just does. I use a small bar of motel sized soap. I heard about it on this guy's radio show FYI
