It's natgas not oil, that competes with solar and wind.

That's true in the real world but as you know if you plot oil prices and solar they track almost in lockstep. They shouldn't... but they do. The only place in the U.S. where we use oil for electrical generation is Hawaii and some places in Alaska. (forgot to mention Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands)

My picks for the long run right now are STP and YGE for Si.

My choice personally if cost was not an object.. I'd put SPWR's panels on my roof.

JMHO

By the way.. I expect NG prices to more than double by Labor day weekend here in the U.S.

Just a little gamble.
