Kagan 'moderated' for group that honored radical 'gay' Harvard organization cited Kameny for achievements May 24, 2010 By Bob Unruh © 2010 WorldNetDaily wnd.com A Massachusetts-based citizens action group has uncovered documents linking Barack Obama's U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan to radical homosexual activists at Harvard who earlier had honored Frank Kameny, who once told a Christian ministry leader the God of the Bible is a "sinful, homophobic bigot." "It's one thing for, as LBJ said, a 'pin-headed Harvard liberal' to do things like that. That's not really news," said the new report from researchers with Mass Resistance, "But this is now about the United States Supreme Court – and probably will affect another quarter-century of decisions! Now it becomes a little chilling." The report reveals it was just two years ago that Kagan was moderator at an event for the Harvard Gay and Lesbian Caucus, which in 2002 gave the organization's achievement award to Kameny. According to Mass Resistance, Kameny started the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Mattachine Society, which was founded by North American Man-Boy Love Association supporter Harry Hay. The report says Kameny also was "instrumental" in convincing the American Psychological Association to remove homosexuality from its approved list of mental disorders. It was only a few months ago when WND reported that President Obama also honored Kameny, who told the leader of a Christian ministry that the God of the Bible needs to repent and "seek forgiveness for the pain and suffering which his sinful homophobia has needlessly inflicted upon gay people for the past 4,000 years." Kamney also once said bestiality is all right "as long as the animal doesn't mind (and the animal rarely does)." Kameny's condemnation of the God of the Bible came in an e-mail sent to Peter LaBarbera of the nonprofit Americans for Truth. In the communication to LaBarbera, Kameny, who was dismissed from his federal job as an astronomer in the 1950s because of his homosexuality, wrote, "You have the whole issue of sin, vis a vis homosexuality, 'on the wrong foot.' It is your homophobic God of Leviticus (and of the Bible as a whole) himself (herself? itself? themselves?) who is the sinner because of that homophobia." Mass Resistance found a schedule of events for the 25th anniversary weekend for the HGLC that showed Kagan moderating a panel discussion about "The State of the Law: Reflections on the Past Twenty-Five Years and Thoughts about the Future." It was described as "a discussion of LGBT legal developments and trends by leading legal scholars," and besides Kagan, included radical homosexual activist Chai Feldblum. Other participants were William Rubenstein, Kathleen Sullivan and Laurence Tribe. Other topics at the weekend events included "LGBT Highlights of the Harvard Art Museum," "Gaydalus" party, "Jihads of Love," "That's Ms. Dyke to You," "Naked and Queer," and "The Fight for Marriage." The report said Kagan also attended the Harvard Law School's first GLBT alumni reunion dinner and a month later was at the Harvard "Lambda Conference" – "bashing the military's policy of excluding open homosexuals in its ranks." The report said Kagan's participation in the GLBT alumni dinner reveals she "recognized the validity of homosexual and transgender identity-group demands." "Note that Kagan is a Harvard Law School alumna, Class of 1986. Is she also an HLS GLBT alumna? Nobody seems to want to answer that question," the report said. According to a report from the Harvard Crimson cited by Mass Resistance, the event included highlights of "the battle they continue to fight to keep military recruiters off campus." Earlier, in 2003, Kagan was at a Lambda conference at the law school where the GLBT organization raised a variety of issues. The Harvard Law Record reported at the time Kagan agreed with the demand that military recruiters be banned from campus. "Is this the direction the U.S. Supreme Court will go?" the report questioned. "Some hard questions need to be asked. Some backbone needs to be displayed in the U.S. Senate. Are Scott Brown and his new friends up for it?"
