I've gotten lots of skeptical laughs from the bar of soap thing. Including one of my sons who laughs and says 'it's all in your head.' You know what? I don't care. If it works, it works. I went from something like two or three bad leg cramps a week during the night to maybe one a year. Good enough for me. All the better it doesn't involve paying the drug companies for something. I even bring an extra bar along when traveling. Often on vacation, one walks a lot, increasing the leg cramp frequency.

I get cramps in my left calf (never the right) fairly frequently. I'll have to try the soap thing or maybe tonic. My doc said you used to be able to buy quinine pills in the US but they were taken off the market. Supposedly still available in Canada. I'll be in B.C. this weekend, so might duck into a pharmacy to see if I can pick any up.
