The irony, of course, is all this lying and cheating is happening in evangelical SC. Blogger Says He Has Proof of Allegation Against Haley COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Will Folks, the former spokesman for Gov. Mark Sanford and now a political blogger and consultant, says he has proof that he had "inappropriate sexual contact" with Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley. He says there are text messages, emails and phone calls. "As far as what comes out and when it comes out, I'm going to leave that to the advice of my attorneys. But I'll tell you what, at some point, everything comes out," he told News Channel 7 by phone Tuesday morning. Haley has denied the allegation and says she's been 100 percent faithful to her husband during their 13-year marriage. Folks wouldn't clarify what "inappropriate sexual contact" means. "This isn't Mark Sanford syndrome. Mark chooses to talk about his things the way he talks about his things. I'm not going down that road," Folks said. "The term that I used was inappropriate sexual contact. I've got nothing to say about it beyond that." He said it happened on more than one occasion around the spring of 2007 and that it ended mutually. As for announcing the allegation on his website, he says "I kept the Haley campaign in the loop at every step of this process, including the point where I reached the decision that I had to get in front of it based on information that was going to be leaked about me, sent to my wife, and so they were in the loop at every step of this process. And in saying what I said, I went to great pains not to attack them, not to try to hurt them. Look, she's the candidate that I support, okay? I mean, I was planning on endorsing her candidacy." Haley wasn't responding to interview requests on Tuesday.www2.wspa.com
