Having a few wobbly pops tonight are you? Ingersoll could never have been elected because he was a CLASS ONE A-HOLE just like you. People saw and heard his hate filled diatribes and realized that he despised THEM and THEIR beliefs. The very people who he would need to vote for him. He was the Bill Mahar of his day and couldn't have been elected dog catcher. He was a fool alright but he was way smarter than you. As an aside I noticed he admitted that he did indeed have "religious beliefs" another unguarded admission no doubt, Not unlike talking about the hope of eternity at his brothers funeral.

Inersoll the Pathetic couldn't even have gotten elected to Village Idiot, if that had been an elected position.

He loved politics and standing on a stump flapping his jaws, but he never accomplished anything in the field he loved because of his obnoxious personality and character.

Yes, there was a truely obnoxious man. And because of his obnoxious nature, he wasted his life and the few miserable talents a beneficient God had granted him.
