53% in Pennsylvania Favor Passing Legislation Similar to Arizona’s in Their State

Rasmussen Reports

Slightly more than half (53%) of voters in Pennsylvania favor passage of an immigration law similar to the one recently passed in Arizona in their state.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Keystone State finds that 29% are opposed to passing such legislation in their state, and another 18% are not sure. These findings are roughly the same as those found nationally.

A majority of white voters and voters of other ethnicities in Pennsylvania favor passing an immigration law mimicking Arizona’s, while the plurality of black voters are opposed.

A vast majority of Republicans would favor a similar law to Arizona’s being passed in Pennsylvania, while Democrats are more evenly divided. Slightly more than half of voters not affiliated with either party favor passing such immigration legislation.
