Hard to believe the neo cons and right wing was able tio convince everyone that capitalism was able to function without regulation. It is such a simple equation i.e. corpoations are sociopathic by their very nature with profit being their only goal. So where does the conscience come from, e.g., to keep corporations from pouring mercury into a river. That has to come from society in the way of regulations. So simple and yet starting with Raygun, and carried to the extreme by Greenspan, for 30 years, the neo cons joined with private industry to almost destroy this country and the middle class (reduced unions from 35% to 7% today). So, good factory jos have been replaced by service jobs at Macdonalds.
