Hi don, I followed an under-funded effort out of CO that was a used-tire-to-oil-converter a number of years back. I think they were (a) 'before their time' and (b) only a 'one trick pony'. Hence, they finally folded not long after the Fed-funded Oil Shale boondoggle went up in smoke. JBII, on the other hand, seems to have acquired adequate non-death-spiral funding to pursue the prize and is suitably diversified to make a go of it; even if (sans the 'secret sauce') they simply have to out market and/or out sell their competition. The NASA data recovery capability and related connections carry a lot of weight - much like Ross Perot's EDS. Just opinion on my part, but it's going to be fun to see if they can make it - despite the obvious Pro-Bash efforts. With gas and oil prices on the rise again, the dynamics get better every day. .
