Texas Gov. Perry Blasts Federal Government in Upcoming Book

Associated Press

Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry will write about the infringement on state's rights by the federal government in a new book entitled "FED UP," his publisher, Little, Brown and Company, announced Tuesday.

The book, expected for release in Fall 2010 to coincide with midterm elections, will argue that federal bailouts, federally mandated health care and massive federal debt shows a dangerous intrusion into the rights of states, Michael Pietsch, senior vice president of Little, Brown and Company said in a statement.

Perry has served as Governor of Texas for 10 years and is running for a third term against Democratic challenger Bill White. Perry became Governor in 2000 when then governor George W. Bush resigned to become U.S. President.

"FED UP" will be Perry's second book. Perry wrote about the values espoused by the Boy Scouts of America in his first book "On My Honor."
