I pretty much agree.

Those members of society that do not carry their weight will always vote to take as much from the productive members of society as they can and there will always be politicians available to help them.

Once that number goes above 50%, the gig is up.

Aside from morality issues, there are negative economic consequences from shifting capital away from productive savers and investors towards unproductive consumers (including creating more that fall below the line).

The idea is to create an environment that maximizes freedom and upward mobility and encourage those with more to help those in need, not to allow people take what is not theirs to use as they see fit.
