Front page Juneau Empire today:

BP had a key role in botched Exxon Valdez cleanup effort.

You trust BP 101%. Boy are you naive.

And I expect to rent an armada of those large scooping ships would cost closer to a billion before they were done.

From what I have read those ships did a great job cleaning up Saudi Arabia waters.

I was not talking about stopping the well, I was talking about the clean up. You answered a question I did not pose.

Are you 101% sure BP will do everything it can to clean up the oil? Those large scoop ships would have nothing to do with stopping the well, and everything to do with the clean up.

Remember BP's CEO said there would only be minor damage. I think BP did not order those ships because they felt it was cheaper to bet on the oil just dispersing.

And cheaper than spending hundreds of millions of dollars for the clean up.

Which is why we needed a govenrment agency to make sure BP ordered those clean up ships!
