"So now you are only talking about the federal government? If you keep jumping around it's hard to have a specific conversation."

Um, well, I really don't want to talk about the taxes in 50 states plus all the various territories and possessions. I don't mean to shock you, but they're all different.

"There is an almost perfect correlation between a strong central governments and successful countries..."

Say what? You mean like the former Soviet Union? Like Argentina? Like N Korea? Like Greece (and soon, the rest of the PIIGS)? Like Japan in the late '80s? I'm afraid you have it backwards, amigo. Success comes from APPROPRIATE gov't controls, providing an environment where the population can produce and become successful on its own; then the greedy gov't tries to control everything and decide who becomes successful and who doesn't. That's where the slippery slope begins.

"You hate America guys with your whining crack me up..."

That literally did make me laugh out loud, not the "LOL" so commonly used on the 'net. The real "hate America" crowd is the bunch that wants more and more gov't, the ones who want to abandon the Constitution, and the ones who want to tax everyone more and give it to favored groups. Dare I say it? The Marxists, progressives, or the liberals, depending on which term is in favor at the moment.

"Our government is cheap for what we get... way too cheap..."

If by "cheap," you mean of low quality, bloated, intrusive, corrupt, and inefficient, I guess I'd have to agree. Cheap, mean, and power hungry.

Don't confuse America with the current trends in its government.
