somewhere way back when it was mentioned gold was probably "the last great trade of our lifetime"

Yes, THAT was the phrase you used, and it sunk in. You, Jay/Jack, patron, Heinz (when he hung out on the CFZ), even Box and Luc, all were persuasive when it came to gold.

I also recall you lurking on an FNM board at its peak, spitting into the gusts coming from a few yokels that believed it could not possibly be at risk. You were a bit early, but never uncertain. Some pretty funny stuff in those exchanges.

Jokes aside, the table pounding about gold when it was at $300-$350+ sunk in and made quite a difference. Thanks.

<<somewhere way back when it was mentioned gold was probably "the last great trade of our lifetime">>

... you remembered wrong ;0)

from you Message 17769073 (7-21-2002) <<I'm feeling like the GOLD play may be one of the last great plays left for a long time... but there are timing questions IMO>>

gold was priced at usd 324 on that day of your post.

sampler from me Message 17726981 (7-12-2002) <<I am simply peeing with excitement of facing the execution squad, and readying for day of doom and moment of redemption.

Events will get very bad, as in horrific, and there is preciously little we can do, except ... let me think ... eh ... hold on, thinking quick ... yeah, I got it ... GOLD!>>

btw, i reckon, after we do gold-up play, we will also do gold-down game, just as we did nasdaq-down, because we are deserving :0)
