Either that or AMD literally gave the K6 to IBM...Jeez seems like IBM doesn't have to pay a whole lot for chips unless they buy from Intel.
IBM already sells a PC in US with the 6x86MX in it but I agree I'm a little perplexed at why IBM would use the K6 over the 6x86MX.
IBM has used K6 for a while. They offered me one a couple of months ago with a K6-233 in it.
