...by doing what??? By keeping the public better informed on what is being done, what the plans are; Plan A, plan B etc. Right now they have said that they will be doing the "top kill". If it does not succeed, then all they have said that they have alternative plans. Should they be giving us more info on those plans? There is a suspicion in public's mind that the explosion itself was caused by a "profit motive" such as using seawater instead of the more expensive heavy mud etc. The public's mind is laboring under that notion and BP and the Fed need to clear up that "profit motive" notion and prove to the public that "BP is doing everything possible" and that a profit motive is not a consideration." After All, their testimony in the House did not do them any good. On the contrary, it deepened the people's suspicion when they saw that these executives were using "legal jargon" over and over again instead of taking the public into confidence. So in answer to your question by doing what I say "Do everything that needs to be done to gain/restore public's confidence that these efforts are being conducted with no holds barred.
