I love the first chart.

Gold (if properly protected) gives the peace of mind that financial solvency/survival is much more likely. That's enough for me.

I think the first chart is a gross understatement of golds potential in $$s.

Not even sure the comparison is any good -- what does a tech stock have to do with something the qty of which is very constrained?

Need to compare it to something that has to be produced using real resources ... not phoney baloney.
