Glenn,

You are right. I always forget a few. Dell have so many
"opportunities" and so little "threads". The only serious
cloud on the sky is the NC. This will have serious impact
for the PC-market within a few years. The concept and ideas
behind centralized computing make sense. And the market is
definetely going in that direction.
This will not happen soon according to analysts reports. NC's
will only be a few percentage of the market in 2000.

Although this is a thread for Dell it is also an opportunity.

Glenn <<Dell's CFO has been rather boldly stating that stock is undervalued, right up to quiet period.>> I am not aware of any quiet period prior to eanings. I think you may have this confused with the quiet period prior to mergers. Companies are free to discuss their earnings provided they have a good basis for doing so. Example, OXHP issued a "warning" and projected earnings about one week before the actual earnings were published.
