Agreed. Neither has earned my trust.

Most people are reluctant to give up beliefs even when faced with more current facts that disprove earlier ones.
When the Democrats had run con-gress for 40 years one might have thought Republicans might manage better. Even after Republicans proved to be just as corrupt and untrustworthy, otherwise rational people continue(d) to believe.
It's nonsensical.

My contact with libertarians (note small "l") has indicated to me a larger percentage of skeptics than with R/D party followers and a willingness to expose lapses in principle. The publisher of Liberty magazine, Bob Bradford, was one such admirable libertarian.

Lord Acton had it right. Power corrupts ... businessmen, politicians, individuals, religious leaders, the press.

That's why a single control over currency always ends badly.
