Seems almost as shallow as blaming the oil spill on America's "addiction to oil." Not really. The ANWAR thing was much, much more shallow; really idiotic. The addiction quote is open to debate. It we were not "over the barrel" so to speak would we be desperately risking our environment to suck the last bit of an increasingly precious commodity out of our physical resources? I think not. Then again I live on the GOM so who cares about my opinion. As I've been told I'm part of a "mass hysteria".
