And those leaks that are blasting toward the surface are caused by "only a few pounds pressure"? At a depth of one mile?????

If the ocean had 10,000 pounds of pressure and the well head had 10,002 pounds of pressure you would have the same flow as a pipe on the surface that had two pounds of pressure in the pipe.
