I see no evidence that this event was caused by "cutting corners" and frankly, none that corners were cut

True if you reject all of the on site eye witness professionals that have testified so far and also ignore the mud logs that have been released and reviewed by numerous professionals in the industry

While I praise what they have done, its become more and more apparent that their trying to cut corners got them into this mess in the first place. Try to see both sides of the equation.

I see no evidence that this event was caused by "cutting corners" and frankly, none that corners were cut. A company the size of BP is going to have various infractions from time to time.

Even BP is blaming its own men for the failure of the rig. Please try to keep up.

Don't be so hasty to convict. You start sounding like the nitwit president we have.

Do you understand how pathetic you sound?

Umm, let's see. Dead battery in the BOP stack, meaning the deadman switch wouldn't work. Which it didn't. A hydraulic leak in the BPO. While it might not have been a factor, it also might have. At least one of the annular valves was damaged on the BOP stack, ditto. And finally, draining the mud out of the riser before both cement caps were in place. A violation of best practices and considered to be very extremely risky.

There is plenty of evidence of corners being cut.
