Looking ahead, using the oil spill for political hay is unwise.

Several things:

This could have happened under anyone's watch.

We will learn solutions from this industrial accident.

We need the oil and need to continue drilling offshore.

And finally, we don't want this incident to be misused to curtail future drilling.

Obama treated the recent 1000 year floods of TN with the same disdain as he has treated the oil spill in the Gulf.

The belief that govt can and should immediately fix every accident is the fault of dems.........period. Anyone with an ounce of common sense understands the complexities that arise from these situations, and that laying blame is childish. Logical people here and across the country tried to get that across in the aftermath of Katrina. Dems are devious and manipulative when it comes to power. The will now suffer the consequences of playing politics with disasters.
