>>It must seem like you are on the crest of a wave the whole world is following, sometimes, but the whole world also sometimes comments on the clownish gruesomeness of it all. I’ve known religious/political/lifestyle radicals and I generally advise against it personally. I've not known any who could sum the radical activities up as kind and generous, except maybe through some sort of rationalization.... Allah's will, Crusade for Christ, Save the Planet, tipping the playing field for social justice...etc<<

As Louis Black said after watching Bush, either I am crazy or Bush is crazy.

The kids in the 60's were right on the mark and just ahead of their times. Everyone takes for granted today what was considered radical in the 60's e.g long hair, piercings, tattoes, sexual liberation, gay marriage, women's lib, and on and on.

And every single person ahead of their times was a radical at the time. Most radicals are nuts, but some are just ahead of their times e.g Plato, Coprenicus, Newton, Einstein and Columbus.

Knowing the difference is what is important.
