Gottfried/RtS, Looking at a longer term chart of AMAT, the AD line had a medium term peak at about a year ago and has been on a downhill "slant" since then. Gottfried, the line shows a "bottom" in Feb of this year as you pointed out, and a recovery of sorts since then although the last couple of months have been rather "flat". Price in the meantime has moved roughly in the 12 to 15 range.

Over the five years, the trend has been downward in distribution going from the 0B mark to about -2B now. From mid 06 to about the beginning of 09 it bounced around in the -1B to -2B range. This year it has been under -2B.

Volume has been roughly in the 500M range per month, but with this being the last trading day of May, volume has really fallen off to well under 250M shares. This is much less than any other month during the 5 year period. What does it all mean? Darned if I know.
