Hey, someone needs to tell them there are state royalties involved which could offset your budget deficits....that might change their vote back to a 'yea' on drilling. I understand some of the Gulf states get some nice royalties from those drilling rigs.

My state will probably force everyone to drive Priuses and Smart Cars before we ever allow offshore drilling.

Washingtonians were ready to march on DC if they tried to open up drilling here. Of course, a couple more years of budget shortfalls, and that might change too.
