Given the current state of response effectiveness and lx safety standards, i agree with you.

Also, very bizarre how O threw Birnbaum under the bus and left the "drill baby drill" crew in place at MMS.

It has been a very long time when there was a blowout and there weren't numerous violations of protocols. It really should be much, much more rare event than it actually is, this one included. The problem is that you can't 'idiot-proof' something if the idiot is determined enough. Just look a 3 Mile Island...
