And your intra-net/internet link is gonna cost? And take more time to get the file into your home machine. And add all those extra steps of dialing in, logging on, getting through the firewall, remembering what you named the file and getting it where you want it on your drive. Then you have to reverse the process to get it back on the company computer. Duh. Sneakernet is the simplest solution for that guy.

Now if he can arrange for his home machine to be a remote client on an existing WAN then you are 100% correct. I sure wouldn't go the WAN route just for for a handful of workaholics.
